Keeping your hands out of danger

 A common injury to gutter installation technicians is battered, bruised and cut-up hands. It is imperative that we are doing all we can to minimize the risk of these minor injuries. Many of these injuries may seem insignificant but can become serious due to infection. The installer’s hands are one of the most important “tools” used on every job.

So let’s focus on reducing the small cuts and scrapes. Wearing gloves is one way to reduce injuries when cleaning out areas with potential sharp points also utilize a small scraper in areas such as miter corners, outlet areas or where splices have been made.

Remember, when it comes to safety we can never be too careful!

Watch out for scews and other sharp objects in the gutter!
