Working from the Roof
When possible, always encourage your installers to work from the roof to improve efficiencies. It is important that when working from a roof to work in a safe position that allows you to both see what you are doing yet be stable and solid, not allowing your body to slip or slide. You will notice in the pictures below that the front foot (you can use which ever is most comfortable) is at a slight angle, and is planted solid on the shingles. You then sit on your back foot which gives you the height you need to see for correct hanger placement and weight to plant your back foot solid on the shingles for proper grip.
